Poster for the art competition Hommage à Strzemiński, celebrating Władysław Strzemiński’s 120th anniversary. Strzemiński was a Polish artist and theorist, as well as a pioneer of the Constructivist avant-garde of the 1920s and 1930s. He created the theory of Unism and developed a series of monochrome paintings composed of repeatable shapes. This handmade poster, inspired by Strzemiński’s art, reverses and interprets his principle of the integrity of colour, shape and pattern.
