Super Unit (original title: Superjednostka) is a huge residential block designed in line with Le Corbusier’s idea of a “living machine.” The building’s 15 floors can house up to 3,000 people. Residents, in order to reach their apartments, have to overcome a real maze of corridors and stairs. The main characters of the documentary are people living inside the Super Unit and experiencing important moments of their lives there. The poster captures the architect’s idea – the residents become an interpenetrating unit, and the individual apartments are like blocks that form a legible whole. The typography was designed by hand on an architectural grid. The background illustration depicts a Mudulor – an anthropometric scale of proportions invented by Le Corbusier.
