Cover, illustration design, endpaper,  and art direction for the first Polish book on traditional vegan cuisine. The task of the project was to create a publication looking as unique as the content of the book. Just as the recipes draw from the traditions of Polish cuisine, the design subtly references the renowned Polish School of Illustration and the Polish School of Poster from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, as well as folk art – primarily from the Łowicz region. Following the techniques of old drawing masters, the illustrations were made purely by hand.  The colour scheme throughout is reduced to a few colours to be consistent with the book’s navigation system. To root the cover even more firmly in Polish tradition, the selected typography, designed by Ludovic Balland, is based on a 1975 typeface design by Marek Sigmund, commissioned by the Polish Ministry of Transportation for the lettering of road signs. The book was created in collaboration with Olek Modzelewski (graphic design).
